    Transducer location

I have a Javelin 17 venom with a step in the hull. Looking for transducer location ideas for a Garmin. I was thinking of mounting on a small block of king starboard bedded in 5200 to put it at just below hull level. 15" or so to the right of the engine.IMG_20200103_IMG_20200103_144048021.jpg

I would get with scap at transducer shield and saver and ask him about a bracket. I would mount it under the motor mount. You can place it there as in pictures, but will it be perfectly level? Also run risk of it getting broken off or causing damage to the hull.

Put it on the starboard side.

Mount under center of motor. It will keep the sides of the transducer level. Especially if you are using side scan/imaging.
