No throttle and electrical failure Pro V 150

Posted on Yamaha forum but not much response. 98 Champion 181 with Yamaha Pro V 150. Ok, here goes, first thing I noticed was my gauges and fishfinders turned off on their own. All my gauges went to pegged out, trim won’t work on the boat but will on the side of the motor. The motor also sounds like it’s running on 3 cylinders and won’t throttle up above 1,000 rpm. When I turned it off at the ramp, it kept running for about 20 seconds until slowly dying down and cutting off. Then it won’t start back, does nothing at all when I turn the key on. Any ideas where to start?

Check the inline fuse on the port side of the motor and connections on the battery.

Found it and fixed the issue. The main motor plug had wiggled almost apart and would lost contact when turned. Reattached it and taped it to prevent future separation. Easy fix and I'm glad. Thanks!
