    crawl space issues-please help

Went under the crawl space the other day and noticed some mold or potential mold (no more than 3square feet) on joists etc. i want to kill and make sure it never comes back. But I wanna do it without melting my skin
I read that hydrogen peroxide will kill it--
Or are there any other the counter prducts i can use--say in a garden sprayer that are safe with a suit/respirator?

    Concrobium mold control at Lowes.

You can mix your own with Washing soda 5%, TSP 5%, and water 90%.

Mold is also a sign that your crawl space needs more ventilation.

+1. If there’s no evidence of standing water or pipe leaks then you need more ventilation.

As far as the remediation goes make sure you wear a minimum of p95 respirator, some sort of disposable suit, hydrogen peroxide/bleach mixed with water in a garden sprayer with some good rags. I’d also have a fan setup that’s blowing out the access door while cleaning it. This isn’t contractor specs, but for no more than you have this is what I’d recommend for a homeowner

We started using a product called shockwave seems to working good so far it actually has another product called aftershock for painting. But in the places we used the shockwave it has killed it.This a product that remediation companies use also

If you have the crawl space vents that automatically close, make sure that they are open. As warm as it is in Georgia they might not be operating properly

Yep! You need two things for mold, food and moisture. As long as both exist it will only get worse no matter what you put on it. Get some cross ventilation going (block vents) and spread some 10 mil plastic on the ground and tape the seams

Had the exact problem did all the things mentioned in the other post and none of it worked mold would just return. I ended up encapsulating my crawlspace and adding a dehumidifier to keep the humidity below 50% after this no more mold. PM me if you want and I will send you some pics
