    Michigan stat. WOW

Watching the game today and heard that Michigan was 0-9 vs teams ranked 15th or better at a neutral field. Now 0-10. They also have lost 5 straight bowl games. How do they continue to get such good rankings?

Bo Schembechler ain't walkin through that door. Michigan recruiting ain't what it used to be and their record reflects it.

But Coach H continues to bring in the millions...mind boggling.

With the talent theyve had on the field the last few years you would think somebody has to be talking about a new coach. One thing they haven't been able to do is get a true top notch QB. Patterson isnt horrible but the qb spot has hurt them pretty bad

Just like every other team we have in Michigan. Lions, Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons all have terrible records. Games are almost always sold out. They will probably fire him and make some new coach Very Rich. It's how we do it up here.

Not very long if he can't beat OSU.

Boosters do not like to lose to the rival and can get very loud. Besides probably time for him to jump back to the NFL anyways.

I honestly thought they would compete this season. Ohio has a first time head coach, looses a ton to the draft, transfer quarterback and not to mention Michigan has Mich State and Ohio at home....

Doesn't matter one bit. Michigan is just a good football program, nothing more than that. The record the last 20 years says it all. For some reason they just can not make it happen when the brightest lights are on. That's not to say they can't make some correct decisions hire the right coach, recruit the correct QB and compete with these other teams, it just isn't happening with this current regime. Harbaugh WILL be in AA for quite some time, we just have to hope everyone else has a down year because we aren't getting better.

well they could have went after OSU rejected QB a couple years back and they didn't. The only one who really went after him was a little no name coach they call Coach O. LOL I wonder how that will work out for him

Wow Phoenix 921 I never really thought about that very good and Michigan could have had a Heisman trophy winner.

Michigan does sound a lot like lsu was the last several years. Get 10 wins but couldn't beat bama. Had all the talent but could not land a good QB. Miles was let go and Coach O came in and surprisingly made the corrections to fix that.

Michigan hasn't been the same since Appalachian St..... They are also a cautionary tale for how long it can take to recover from disastrous coaching hires (Rich Rodriguez, Brady Hoke).

One of these years they will get a QB who isn't a turnover machine and can make the occasional downfield throw. The fact that Harbaugh hasn't been able to recruit one so far is a surprise. They might not win anymore games but it might stop the pining for the days of Elvis Grbac.

All the AP voters keep giving them the benefit of the doubt because of the talent that they recruit. You can have all the talent but if you're coaching ain't worth squat that's all you're going to be is a mediocre team and that's all they are is a mediocre team. Will they beat some big teams that are ranked above them sure everybody has its day. But under Jim Harbaugh all they're going to be is a 9 or 10 win team and that's it.

But many of the Florida teams have been in decline as well. They used to have a monopoly on all the top Florida athletes for years. Alot seems to have changed.

If you wanna see the post-mortem, read the Detroit Free Press sports page... It's brutal... I always read the other teams home newspaper to get a feel how they felt about the game... Brutal... Dan

1997 was a long time ago. They haven’t been nationally relevant since. Walmart Wolverines sure do like their Kool-Aid!
