I recently purchased my first boat, a 2007 Skeeter SX170. The depth finder at the front, near the trolling motor has what I’m guessing was the stock Lowrance X50DS. It is not working correctly and I would like to replace it. My question is what to do if whatever the new model I purchase isn’t the same size? Is the plastic trim piece (pictured) that holds the current depth finder, along with switch and trolling motor outlet something that is a factory made piece, or can aftermarket pieces be found to fit each different model depth finder? Any input and suggestions would be appreciated.
I have a similar issue! I have an SX180 and would like to change out that entire console. Over time the console will pull thru the screws and pop off whenever you unplug the trolling motor. Its a horrible design by Skeeter!
