Legend Electrical Issues Question / Alpha 211

I'm looking at a 2010 Alpha 211. My buddy said Legends are known for their electrical issues and I'd forever regret the purchase. Is he correct? Also, any feedback on the boat would be appreciated.

I dont know what electrical issues they are well known for..
Most all of the electronics are the same as every other boat out there..
There have been some people that have had switch panels fail and a tough time finding replacements
But not really any different than any other boat

I had a 2007 199 for 8 years and no electrical problems and the 211 2015 has no problems so far. I did buy an extra electrical panel back when they closed down just incase.

2009 Alpha 199. Flawless so far. Anything mechanical can have problems.

Had 2005 LE 196, had a bad switch easy fix. Then 2010 Alpha 211 still have, never had a problem. Seems on any boat forum, any time someone post they have a problem they are looking for some help with. I doubt I will ever get rid of the 211.

the omni-bus (brain box) is a 3rd party component that controls all the switches/power distribution. They have been known to go bad, but not to the extent its a pervasive problem (to my knowledge). The company that makes them is still around. Great lakes skipper has some of the old legend stock for purchase, and if push came to shove, the entire system could be replaced with manual switches/fuse panel and 1 milspec wiring adapter without removing or re-running all the wiring in the boat. So its not really something that would prevent me from considering the purchase of a boat.

Hey guys new here and just bought a 09 Legend Alpha 211 with some issues with the switch pads. Is the wiring adapter your talking about an available part or is this something someone would have to make? I’m thinking about adding toggles switches and going that route, sorry to bring up an old thread!
