I would try to get a look at the orifice where the gas comes out. Is this a furnace or stove? Gas will only ignite at a certain percent of concentration. If you can light it with a match then the igniter may be faulty or have something on it stopping it from lighting. Spiders cause problems with pilots.

The control board on these is notorious for going out. Had to have mine replaced.

I see you lit a stove burner, as I usually have to do that to "burp" the air out for the fridge to light. Try lighting it by hand and see if that helps correct the issue on the next cycle.

Maybe turn the tank valve off and then turn it back on slowly. If you open too fast the safety device can kick on and limit flow.
