I’d measure my prop to pad distance and ask others here with your set up what there’s is and go from there....

The 4 blade should be more stable than the Tempest. I've never heard anyone drive through chine walking. Some type of input was necessary to re-balance the hull back on the pad.

a prop to pad Measurement is the starting point for sure...
dont waste time changing props till you know where you are at...
some of the MANUAL jack plates used from 95-99 are WAY TOO deep, even when using the TOP mount holes....

I have the same hull/engine/prop. My p2p is ~1.75". That setting was originally used with a 27p Trophy. When I bolted the 26p Fury on I just left it there and it seems to be just fine. Been running it that'a way for a couple of years now. I also have a 12" SlideMaster manual plate. The original 10" Gambler prop wouldn't get anywhere close to that P2P. From time to time I run a 25p or a 26p Trophy. I don't change the P2P when I do.

Replace manual with a bobs action jack(it'll have to be custom made with no bolt holes if you do it) then watch your water pressure set between 10-12# at WOT any more and it'll get Western without notice. Ask me how I know all this.
