    2007 Optimax 150 oil leaking from top exhaust

    my 07 optimax 150 is leaking oil from the top exhaust hole, also noticed an extra amount of black soot inside the prop

    why because its normal to see some oily residue from exhaust of these mtrs , quick clean and quick care ???????

    That is not normal. Are you using DFI Oil, and Mercury Quickleen + Quickare in every tank of fuel?

    agree ^^^^, is it pure oil not mix of oil and gas, possible internal leak in fuel system flooding cyl, have you recently filled remote tank ,possibly too full
