I have a Milwaukee 18v and it is a beast. I haven’t used the 12v version, but I would guess it would handle lug nuts well.

I bought the masterforce one from menards because I have other tools that share that battery, lasts all year I just lug it around all year in the truck and use it in the spring to rotate tires and change oil in hubs battery never failed me yet and it was on sale fairly cheap in compression

We use the Dewalt at work and they are great until the battery dies. So when ever we go out to work on some we take an extra battery.

I have the Ryobi and it's good but had I not had all the other tools and batteries I would have bought the Harbor Freight, they have good reviews

If size is no problem then the mid torque or high torque Milwaukee will work. The dewalt is also a good tool as well. The one I carry is the Milwaukee m12 1/2” stubby with a 6ahr and 3ahr battery. It has a lot of power for being so small. Takes off truck and boat trailer lugnuts no problem. I’m sure someone will chime in that there is nothing wrong with a 4way

Gorilla telescoping lug wrench or a 36” breaker bar. Way cheaper and you don’t need to remember to charge the battery. I use a cordless impact around the farm all the time, but can’t see any need to have it in the truck.

Santa just brought me a "KIMO" cordless ratchet. I knew nothing of this brand but it feels pretty sturdy. I have seen the Harbor Fright Bauer line get good reviews. I bought the HF corded lug driver and it does the job. Not a fine piece of craffsmanship but gets the job done, cheap.

Bought my dad the dewalt dcf 894 mid range 1/2” impact 20v. Rated at 330 ftlbs of torque. You can snag it for right at $100 for the bare tool.

I have a Kobalt....was around 100 bones, and it has been awesome.....came with 2 batteries...and I charge them once a year no matter what (often have to use them to deplete the battery enough to charge).

It is used for road trips and tire rotations here at the house.

I have the Dewalt 1/2" 20 volt lithium and I'm well pleased with it. Well worth the money.

I have been looking at purchasing one for the same reason. I will end up purchasing the Rigid from HD. It has good reviews. I also have some other Rigid tools same batteries and the lifetime warranty for the drill and batteries are hard to beat.

Daughter got me a bauer impact and circular saw from harbor freight last Christmas and both have been great.

Cant go wrong with the Dewalt or Milwaukee mid range. The high range can be too much.

Was using a Craftsman 18V for a number of years, it struggled a bit if the techs doing a rotation got too crazy with the air gun tightening the lug nuts. Last year for Father's Day the wife bought me a Makita 18V kit, I picked up the 1/2" impact shortly afterwards and it has done everything I have needed it to do with no problems. Definitely more torque than the Craftsman and a smaller size.
