My brother drove down from Chicago on Monday only to find ice. Anyone there today or think the ice will be off by tomorrow?

I will send out a couple of text over there. If I get a reply I will let you know.
Sorry, all I'm getting is if its still on there it has to be very thin. My guess is you can drive the boat thru it pretty easy if its still there.

Ponds that were iced over are not anymore today. Would highly doubt there is ice on there today.

Thanks,
Looking to go on Saturday and launch in the monon which on Monday was pretty solid according to my brother. If you go out or have eyes on the ramp and it is clear that would be awesome. Just would hate to drive 2 hours to not be able to fish when it is almost 6o in December.
thanks again.
Guys I know are on down by Freeman. About 50' or so out from the bank is froze. Guessing Shafer is about the same. Thats the best I can do for ya, Im an hour east.. You can drive thru 1/2 ice with no problem. Sounds terrible but it wont hurt the hull. The factory said I could drive thru an inch with no problem. Sorry not me.

Ive been out many times on New Years Day. Let us know how you did. Id rather fish Freeman for the walleye this time of year. Usually get many smallies also.
Ice is gone, however with the rain we got a couple days ago it has stained the water.
