Hey guys new to the blazer/mercury family here. I have a 2018 625pro elite with a 2018 mercury verado pro4 250. it sits on a 6inch atlas hydrolic place and im running a 27 bravo i xs with 4 holes plugged one solid one large and two small. the jack plate is on 6, and 2 power poles. with my son (6'2 290) and myself (5'9 240) we are running 73.5 but the holeshot stinks. anybody running a verado? Im looking for setup help to better the holeshot any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks Perry

What RPM are you running at wide open throttle? When your trimmed out how high of a rooster tail are you getting? When you hammer down does it feel like you have no traction in the water? When you break on plain does it feel like you've lost traction i.e. blowing out?

Have u tried raising the motor up on the jack plate when taking off? When it breaks over start lowering it back down some. Might help with prop cavitation.

i can turn the 27 bravo up to 6200 rpm the most ive trimmed it is about half, and at that point it throws a tail about 3ft above the cowl most of the time we run at about 3/8 trim witht he jack plate on 6 no it doesnt blow out i did plug all the holes in the bravo and the holeshot was better 5solid plugs and 3 small hole plugs

That's way too much prop for that load to be able to have any kind of hole shot.

Also, if you are turning the Bravo 6200 rpm at 73mph, its slipping a ton.
