    Big Buck Down!

Had an awesome opportunity to visit a buddy in Iowa this deer season. He has 900 acres of corn, soy bean and alfalfa planted which made for some excellent deer hunting. I saw nice bucks all week long and finally was able to make it all come together with my personal best deer!

I'm not a deer hunter, but have a question. In many states, it's illegal to put out "bait" (i.e., chumming). What's the difference between doing that and planting a "food plot" to bring deer onto your property? It doesn't seem to be any different, IMO, so are the laws different enough to make one legal and not the other? Yes, I watch Texas, Maine and New Hampshire DF&G enforcement on Animal Planet channel. Also Alaska State Troopers. There's plenty of dumbassery done by the public on all of them. I'm glad somebody has the huevos to do that job.

    PS: Nice buck!
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

The short answer is that food plots are about improving habitat, and nutrition opportunities for deer. Bait piles are not.

Not a bad buck. You got lucky to draw a tag in that area right away unless you have put in for it before.
