    Question for Don,
    Searched posts her and elsewhere for poppet valve kits for my '04 175 Optimax #OT922039
    Getting all the maint. done before next season. Thanks!

    I am pretty sure there is not a kit with a part number. You must order the individual parts...but email Rhonda and she will get what you need along with all the other parts you need.

    Thanks for all the help, now have new water pump, spark plugs, thermostats, Serpintine Belt, new strainer and new poppet kit done. Also replaced fuel line and primer bulb. Poppet was a little intimidating looking at all the relays, solinoid and hoses in the way, just remove all 8 bolts and tie them out of the way. Didn’t remove the hard bushing on block but looked in good condition, all went back together smoothly. Recommend thin layer gasket maker on first gasket to hold in place for lining up cover plate once poppet is in. A little hard holding the poppet while screwing down the Phillips screw to 25 in.lbs.     Bonus* with lower cowls off sprayed engine & cowls with engine cleaner, dried and coated with Yamashield I had laying around.
