Go on your depth finder the view,,,Accessory Test. And look at mega 360 with it also turned on. You will see the version of software that is in the Mega 360.

I understand that there are still a lot of folks waiting on their mega 360 but I was certainly expecting to see more reviews / you tube videos / screen shots by now. I'd love to see some more info. Trying to decide whether to upgrade my existing 360 with mega 360 or add livescope.

Both upgrades will require buying a new graph as my current humminbird setup is an 1198 and a g2n helix 12.

I have been using it for fishing and the location has mostly a featureless bottom where the fish are this time of year, BUT it works great seeing where the fish are to attempt a catch. This bass was where the drop-off is at 2:00.

Just returned from Toledo Bend and 4 fun filled days of fishing with the m360. I thought I had some great screen shots of the m360 including a stump field with a single giant magic stump that we caught a 9 and an 8.23. Even thought I had a shot of shallow submerged vegetation that look like Moses parting the Red Sea that held good fish on their way to the bedroom. BUT, none of my screen shots turned out. They were pixilated or black. I need to go to screen shot school. This happened to me a few times with the g1 360 too. Is there a trick to get good shots?

Maybe you need a better SD card? Is it a class 10?

Probably not. I checked if it would hold .png files and it did. It also had a few screen shots from my other Helix and g1 360. I’ll buy a new card tomorrow on my way back to Toledo Bend.

ran into Brandon Palanuik yesterday at the ramp on chickamauga. talked to him breifly about the mega360, he jumped in my boat and set mine up how he runs his(sensitivity on 14, contrast on 13, front display, speed @ 3 or 4, i dont remember the color palette number off the top of my head) fished the rest of the day with it like this and it worked well and the clarity was better. biggest thing was not having to isolate the sweep all over again every time i pulled it out of the water.

Just curious, if a solix DI or Si can read mega imaging and also run a 360 it seems like there should just be a software update to be able to run a M360? Why can't they make it backwards compliant. Doesn't make sense to me. Anyone know the difference between a solix and a solix g2? new processor?

A 360 is an Ethernet accessory. A MEGA 360 is a regular transducer connection.

A G2 SOLIX has more POWER =that + thing, and has standard HW CHIRP 2D sonar.
A G3N Helix has more POWER=that + thing, and has standard HW CHIRP 2D sonar.

The first generation SOLIX units don't.
The first and second generation Helix units don't.

    360 truck.jpg

was at a boat ramp the other day, talking to another fisherman and happened to look down at my M360 to see this vehicle, thought that was pretty cool. grabbed my phone and took a quick pic of the screen.
