    Color change

451464D9-9F4A-420A-92F7-C842248220FD.jpegSo honest opinions guys and don’t want to get beat up but I bought a 20xd on a great deal but the top cap had been sanded to deep to turn the flake silver I’m in the process of making the boat look good again and was wondering if I would be better off just changing color with regular imron paint to solid black or use solid gel coat what will be the most durable and cost effective

I can pull it up just so far. I’d really like to see some close up pics.

If it’s wrapped it has to be completely sanded smooth....really smooth. My opinion of “paint” on a boat is it’s the last option. If the boat is really nice re-flake the top cap. Can’t see the pic enough to tell mush about the boat. I’d like to see closer up pics...I deal with this stuff a lot.

I wrapped my old boat flat black so I could hide from hole poachers better. I think it cost me $1300. I tore a hole in it on the first trip out. If you have trees where you fish you will tear a wrap. Had mine on for a year and had several holes in it when I took it off to sell the boat.

I did too but I won't own another yellow boat. You can see them miles across the lake. Won a few tournaments and heard lots of chatter about where I was fishing. Some true, some was complete BS, but nonetheless it was worth $1300 for me to be able to hide better and it worked. I didn't plan to sell it as quick as I did but I won a boat and sold both boats and upgraded to a XRS.
