    Prop choice for Nitro NX750 Merc 125 stock gears

    Getting ready to pull this 4 blade turbo off boat bought this fall. Currently terrible holeshot and porpoising. Thinking of going to a 24” Tempest. But wanted to get some input. No jackplate, run fairly light. Just added about 30lbs to bow with the 80# Ultrex. Thanks

    BTW, speedo says 52mph at 5100. Turns are tight, lift sucks. Definitely wrong prop for setup. I’m leaning on a 24 tempest or a large vented Laser 2 20.

    That 125 is going to have the small hub so ANY Tempest is out. A small hub Laser II (they made both sizes) will be OK with some cup added. A 23 Trophy Plus might be a good starting point. It might be worth a call to Powertech as they make some good small hub props.
