    Bantam MgL handle length...

    Hey fellas just two quick questions ...

    1. how long is the bantam mgl hg handle ?

    2. what’s the length of the stock core50 mg7?

    I think the bantam has two handle lengths. The 6 & 7 gear ratio is a 80 and the 8:1 is 85mm. As for the Core 50mg7 couldn’t tell ya.

    I think it is typical Shimano with 84mm handle on non XG version both core, bantam and even your scorpion. I can confirm in a few hours.

    The XG has a longer handle and bigger knobs. Does anyone know the logic behind this? Makes no sense to me.

    Confirm all are the same 84mm just Bantam got bigger knob.

    The longer handle is for more torque. The extra fast gears don't have much torque so the longer handle gives it more turning power.
    I wish shimano would put the longer handles on their low gear ratio reels too.

    Also I believe the stock handle on a core 50 is only 80mm long

    Bantam 150 and hg have 84mm handle the xg has a 90mm with the bigger knobs. The core 50 is 80mm

    Thanks. I don't notice much difference in feel between the different handle lengths but I would have liked to see them use the bigger knobs of the XG on the other models as well.
