Max height with Merc 200 Pro XS on Lund 1875 Pro V Bass

I looked at a new Lund 1875 Pro V Bass today and am close to buying one. But I got home and realized I only have 6’9” clearance height on garage door and I measured it on the trailer at just about 7’ maybe 6’11”

This was on a roller trailer and I’d get a bunk. Anyone know how much height the roller trailer adds. It looks like it may be a few inches and that would put me back in business.

Anyone have one on a bunk trailer with a Mercury 200 Pro XS that could measure theirs for me?

If the measurements don't work out, you could consider dropping the boat off just short of the door. Raise the trailer wheel. Push her inside. ....PIA..but it might work

I dont know if there is a cowl height difference
between the 200 and the 150, but my 150 goes
in a 7ft tall door w/ very few inches to spare.
    Its a bunk trailer. LDS

For the last inch, you could let air out of the tires..then refill after passing the door. Of course, remembering to let the air out next time out is paramount. A good compressor will make it easy.

Also if you if you have a garage door opener, could you have the door open more thus giving you an additional inch or so?

Bunks will help. Beyond that, if need be...Manually pushing the boat in is an option I have employed .. while manipulating the engine height with the trailer jack stand. This is far more easily accomplished with a single axle trailer than with a Tandem.

My 7ft actual door height is 81"

Motor Height measured from floor to top of cowl
74". This is a very close guestimate w/o attaching
it to the truck. I will tell you this, when I was
backing in looking in the mirror, I would have bet
    it wouldn't fit. I haven't tried yet , but w/the motor
on the support, I don't think it will fit.
The measurement I gave was w/the motor in a
    vertical position.

My trailer is single axle bunk trailer.

I think you may need a set of door stretchers.

I've had my eye on one for a few years now and may opt for a smaller Bass Hawk my brother would buy me out of after a couple years and I would step up to the Pro V. But if the Pro V fits and we get a good price on it, it may happen. This is one of those I'm gonna have to find one on a bunk trailer at a dealer and get an exact measurement on to be sure kind of things. I just resided my garage and didn't realize my 7 foot door opening is only 82 inches, may be close to 83 with a little grinding of the slab which I could easily due since i'm already grinding the apron due to heaving over the years. So that leaves me an inch shy of 7 feet.

I'm already having to bump the garage out a foot in the back where the motor goes, but that won't be too hard.

There's a grey one set up just how I want it making it very tempting. I gotta imagine that roller trailer adds at least an inch. I was at another dealer today comparing the two trailers and the roller was at least an inch higher. Granted they weren't Pro V bass's sitting on the trailer, but I believe the same trailers.

I did notice the skeg was at least 10-12"off the ground on the 1875 on the roller trailer with the motor level and that struck me as kinda high from what I remember. So that gives me hope that a bunk will drop it down a couple inches. We shall soon find out.

And to be clear, thanks for the advice of letting air out of tires and whatnot. I should have been clear from the beginning. I'm not looking for any such work-arounds. I'm selling the house and upgrading before I resort to those tactics.

Lund.jpgIt's definitely a sweet looking ride. Was sold on a black one until I saw this in person. I think it's a tie.

With my trailer sitting level, my skeg is only 3.5" off the floor.

Thanks Larry. I thought I remembered it sitting around that height. I think this thing has to be sitting way up on the rollers.

I can tell the difference in the picture. That hulls splash rail
it several inches higher than mine. The splash rail on my hull
is even w/the top of my fender. If the splash rail wasn't there, the hull
    would fit between the fenders.
Another thing I notice in the picture is how the 200 cowl comes to
a peak, thats going to add height VS the lower round top of the 150.

Would lowering the motor before u back it in give you a few extra inches, guessing it has less clearance titled up

6'5" according to the site. These numbers are pretty good, I used it to make sure my 2175 pro-v would fit in my garage.

I'm with Metsfan take out the motor support bar and you will gain some room and possibly get a higher mount for the ball of the truck.

Order the boat with one of these. They have the drop axle option.Load and unload standing on dry land.Launch on bad ramps in shallow water with no problem.Way easier to get in and out sitting in the parking lot.Get the galvanized.Doesn't look that good new but still looks the same 20 yrs later.Galvanized inside and out, never rusts like so many of the painted trailers I see.Have one with a 19 Pro V,wouldn't trade for anything else.Get the Drotto bow latch to make loading by yourself a pleasure.

All decisions have been made. I was able to measure one on a bunk trailer and confirmed it did sit lower.

Ordered a grey 1875 XS with the 200 Mercury Pro XS. Already have the Humminbird Helix 12 Mega DI GN3 for the front and 10 Mega SI GN3 for the console. Also got an 36V 112 Ultrex with 52" shaft to tow me around.

Now for the several week wait. I'm 2 weeks in, Should be here in plenty of time to get all rigged up and do some pretend fishing while the 2 feet of ice slowly melts.
