When are bass boats going to get remote compartment locks?

Sure would be nice if boat manufacturers would get a remote lock system. Crawling around the deck locking each compartment just to run into a convenience store is a pain.

I liked those locks when I had my iClass, never had an issue with them.

My 2006 Skeeter I-class had them and I never had a problem with them. Sold the boat at the 3 year mark so really don't know how long they lasted but was great when I had it. Honestly think that might have been the best boat I have ever had still to this day.

When you spend 3x the price of a Kia you should get them.

Maybe you could wave your foot over them and they would open automatically.
Would be fun to watch them open when you are dancing around the deck landing a fish. lol

totally agree with this, I think they would be a great thing to have as long as you could override the system in case of failure.

I got these on my rig an absolute love it. You have to manually turn the latches, but all will lock with the press of a button. So far no problems with them.

I have the Sarasota electric remote locks on my boat. They have a key back-up. They work great but they have one problem: water leaks. The design requires a weep hole in the body of the lock. When you fish or have to leave your boat out in a a down pour the water drips into the compartments. There is a rubber O-ring on the the handle that is supposed to seal the key hole, but it does not work in heavy rain.

No I bought the boat used with them already installed. I haven’t noticed the water leak mentioned by rampaage below, but I will keep my eyes on them. Good luck.
