    Get to know Ned

Saw this article yesterday, and had to share. I'm fortunate to call Ned a friend and have spent some time on the water with him.
He is humble as they come, but you soon realize he is a wealth of knowledge and a fishing nut like all the rest of us.

    Agreed sir. He’s a gem.

Probably time for he and I to do a piece together. It’s been a while.

Thank you sir. I’ve got some “Ned” things that I’ve not disclosed in any of the other pieces that he and I have worked on that may help some others. I’ll run it by sir Ned.

True to my word. The piece will be up soon. I guarantee it to be a different take on anything else I’ve seen videoed or written of concerning the rigs I’ve written so much of in the past. I’ve been tinkering for two years with what’s in this piece. I suspected I was overdue submitting a piece to Ned’s site. I hope it helps some riverine smallmouth anglers such as myself.

Sir that is where it will appear very soon as many of mine in the past have. The past stuff is more easily found by googling In Fisherman Midwest Finesse Travis Myers WV Smallmouth or thereabouts.

Thanks for the kind words BassStriker.

    Good fishing to you gentlemen.

Thanks HD. Figured you might like this one. I was asked to tweak the final draft late last week. This one took longer than normal given what I believe to be a little different content than normal regarding these rigs from what I’ve read anywhere else. Ned was also conducting some seminars in Oklahoma when we were getting into the meat and potatoes. Should be up soon as I believe it’s ready to roll. More importantly as always when working on these projects with Ned it’s in an effort to help other anglers. Perhaps some will find something of use in it.

    Regards, Travis

Thanks for sharing! I've heard about the Ned rig before but never really gave it a serious looking into.

I got pretty much skunked yesterday so I think I will give this rig a try. I've got some light jig heads designed for weighted wacky rigs and some Zoom Caterpillars that I think will suffice for this rig. I'll give it a go and see what happens. If it works, I may have to ramp up to proper Ned rig equipment.

Could you, or someone, provide a link to the article and also to Ned's site? I looked at the link above, but it wasn't terribly apparent what I was looking for. Probably just my lack of brains.

    Faithful,
You might start here for some basics. https://zmanfishing.com/cms/nedrig

Also, check Youtube for Online Outdoorsman. Ethan has a lot of Ned rig content.
