Does the Xi5 compare at all in any categories with the others? I'm primarily looking for spot lock with Lowrance HDS units. I like the beefy looks of the Xi5 mount but not the wireless versions. Seem wimpy. I'm adding up my wish list and I'm at about $3800 for Ghost and would be much less with a MotorGuide. In addition to other things I want, must have, my cash is flowing in too many directions.

Which HDS units??? My thinking is if your units can be fully compatible with a TM why not get that one and take advantage of the networking.
I have an Ultrex but if i could swing it, i'd sell and get the Force to go with my Garmin units.

Gen 3, so would need to upgrade the bow unit at least? To Carbon which doesn't make sense, so Live. Cascading costs.

Per the website, it doesn't show Gen3's intergrating with the Ghost. Ti2, Carbon and Live.

I just added 1 9 live for now to my Gen3 network, looking forward to the software update. that Ghost is sweet

Don’t confuse the X5 withe the Xi5. The X5 is manual cable steer - NO GPS FUNCTIONALITY! Xi5 is 100% wireless w/remote & foot control. If spot lock and heading lock are what you’re wanting AND you won’t use the foot control much - then the Xi5 may be worth a look.
