Question Wiring help 03 VMAX HPDI

i have a 03 Vmax 150 HPDI that i repower my 93 Ranger 361 with. The donor boat only had a tach on it. i replaced the Ranger tach with yamaha's 6Y7-83540-60-00 tach. work perfect. I've ordered the oil and trim sensor harness 6y5-83653-10-00. I have the factory yamaha wiring harness. where does the oil & trim harness connect to motor?

There are two ivory coloured four pin nylon connectors in the front of the engine pan. The trim/oil harness will connect there.

I don't think you have ordered the correct trim/oil harness. Part number 6y5-83653-10-00 that you mention has but one four pin connector at each end.

Does your -60-00 tachometer have a four pin connector and a single wire with a bullet connector or does it have only the four pin connector? Does it have two lights or three lights? Makes a difference.

That diagram is for a 2005 and later model Yamaha.
