I got an email today from Glock saying they have come out with a 22LR on basically a 19 frame. Be out 1/1/20 they didn’t mention price. I will have one of these

Only a 10 round magazine, should have made a high capacity. Most of the people on the glock forums were hoping for a carbine..

Take a look at this guy before you “pull the trigger” haha
Nice little .22, Glock has put out a solid product for many years. Reliability is a factor in a .22 semi auto pistol, many that I have tried will not function well with some .22 ammo. Glock claims that the 44 will eat anything you put in it. The price will be around $400 but usually a little less when it hits the stores. I'm going to take a long look at the 44 for my next plinker.

I like glock and have owned and shot them for years. The 22 lr model does not really scratch an itch for me. I can see it being a huge hit in training programs, and qualification courses but thats about it. Im sure it will be a flawless performing gun though because thats what Glock strives for.

Saying they over-hyped the reveal is an understatement. I watched the live stream after seeing all the "legendary" and "game changer" talk, but was really disappointed. For the MSRP of $430, there are too many other competitive options that come in cheaper for me to be interested. I just don't see the appeal to a .22 that's essentially a state compliant model for everyone. Mags and other things are sure to follow and I'm sure they'll still sell a bunch though.
I like my Glock pistols but I like my Browning Buckmark Camper 22 for a fun and reliable 22!
Gunbroker prices are $369. Looks like a winner

Looks pretty cool ! I like my glocks. I have the S&W M&P Compact , it has been the best 22lr pistol i have ever shot. That thing feeds and fires every brand of ammo i have ever ran through it. About same size as the shield .

I held one today, Pretty nice, much lighter than the centerfire pistols.

I have a hard time believing that it will perform as good or better than the proven Browning and Ruger rimfire models.
I looked at the reviews and it seems the Keltec has lot of misfire and ejection problems.

So I got to check out the G44 at a gun shop. The slide is reinforced polymer. Very light gun, yes, it's a Glock but nothing about it jumped out at me.
