make sure to top off the fuel tank too.....lol

Switching from Lowrance to large screen Humminbird, so also adding a 3rd lithium battery (will have one 24V TM and two 12V batteries). Adding Mega 360 also. Probably should see CB Marine about some new stuff too, like rocker switches.

Do you mind saying why you went away from Solix to Helix? Solix G2 is supposed to be Humminbird's top dog, but I know you can't customize the screen split sizes, which a lot of guys hate. Thanks.

Helix is lighter and draws battery. I had a Solix 12 on the dash and a Solix 10 on the bow. I went to a helix 12 on the dash now and a helix 12 on the bow. I made my own bracket for the dash to mount my unit. Helix is a lot cheaper also

How much do these big units mounted on the dash, which protrude above the dash, reduce top end speed? Also how do you see above them? I would think they block you vision a lot.

The windshield is to short for me so I made my own bracket to where the unit is the height I wanted. I get better wind block and great use of my unit.

Well my winter project is complete. I cleaned and waxed to rig. I also had the motor serviced today with new plugs, gear lube, computer scan and a good looking over. I am now good to go.
Jason, how are you doing. Hope things are good.
