    Clear over powder?

For those who use powder paint, do you ever clear over the powder? A friend uses epoxy glue and says it is great at keeping the finish on when fishing rocks and other abrasive cover. Thoughts / Suggestions?

Where I use jigs they don’t last long enough for the paint to get chipped.
