Just want to promote my club here, Fish On Bass Anglers, like I do once a year when the schedule is set. Not your typical club, we are larger (60ish members) and fish a lot more locations than most other groups. It's a competitive and fun environment, good for both experienced and newer anglers.

NO participation requirements or expectations, no waiting lists, no probationary trial periods or any of that other stuff you might have seen in other clubs...If you want to fish, you're in and we're happy to have you...Boater or Co-Angler. Can come in and fish 1 time, all 13, or anywhere in between.

2020 Schedule:
April 4 - Lake Anna
April 17-18 - Lake Gaston
May 2 - Potomac
May 15-16 - Deep Creek Lake
June 6 - Conowingo
June 20 - Potomac
July 11 - Chickahominy River
July 25 - Little Seneca (Black Hill) - Club Family Picnic after
Sept 12 - Piney Run
Sept 26 - Potomac
October 9-10 - Smith Mountain Lake
October 24 - Upper Bay
November 6-7 - Lake Gaston (Classic)

As for fees and payouts...$60 annual dues when you join and then each tournament has it's own entry fee. $30 for 1-day, $40 for 2-day. We average 15 to 20 boats at each tournament, 1st place typcially pays around $200 to $250 depending on number of boats. Classic is $40 entry also but first place in Classic is typically $500+...This is becasue a small part of each regular tournament entry is kicked into classic pot. To fish classic you need to attend 4 tournaments and 4 meetings - Our only participation rule (since its a pot format). We pay back 100% of tournament entries over the season. Co's are expected to help boater with expenses for the day, up to a max of $40.

Divisional format, boaters only compete against boaters and co's against co's. Points system for AOY, annual awards for AOY and Co-AOY.

For the travel tournaments like Gaston and SML, we mostly stay together in the same place or area...It's a good group dynamic, no one will be on their own unless they want to be.

We have a family picnic after the Black Hill tournament each year and an annual awards banquet with tons of door prizes. We also do a handful of open fundraiser team tournaments each year too.

You might notice some closed-season lakes on there and wonder about them...We use a catch-weigh-release format for these (5 fish limit still). The club provided identical calibrated scales and catches are verified by the other person in the boat. It lets us hit places where the fishing is good, but would otherwise be impossible to have a tournament.

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading the sales pitch...It's a great club with good competition and it's a lot of fun. If you want any more info feel free to post here or PM me.
