Right prop for 2018 Triton 19 trx Patriot Mercury 225 ProXs

I am only getting 68mph at 5800 rpms with me (210lbs), half a tank of gas, 2 blades, 112lb ultrex on a 24 fury 3-blade. I also have a hydraulic jack plate. Any suggestions?

I think most folks are running a 24 Fury, with two plugs out.

I've got the same setup (poles & Trolling motor) minus the hydraulic jackplate. (just a standard adjustable for me). I run a 25P Fury with no plugs. I've gotten her up to 72 when its cold and just a slight chop. Try going up a pitch and see if you gain another 4-5 mph.

Thank you guys! I wasn’t sure if I needed a lower pitch prop to get my rpms up and possibly my speed. Any thoughts?

    Is it a 2s or 4s?

if he goes up in pitch he would lose rpms? He mentioned he wanted to gain rpms, so he would need to go to a 23 in that case right?

Yes. I thought the higher the rpms, the faster you go.

I thought the max RPM on the 2 Stroke was around 5800?

Are You using the stock gauge on the console to monitor your RPM? The reason I ask is most everybody says they are not accurate. That’s all I have, I need to upgrade. If I use the mercury prop slip calculator mine appears to be off by a couple hundred if I use a three or four for slippage. That’s what I’ve been told to do anyway. Also, when your hydraulic jack plate is at maximum height, what is your PTP?

I use my mercmonitor for rpms. I am not sure what the ptp is with my jack plate all the way up. I would like to try a 23p Fury and see how it does.
