HDS Gen3 update 3.5 to 7.0 or 18.2

HDS Gen3 now running 3.5. I have seen some problems with 18.2. Have the problems been worked out? Would I be better off to stick with the 7.0 update?
I will be running 3D SS. Advice please, I don't want make a mistake and have problems.

I am running two HDS GEN3 units (9 inch & 12 inch) with 3D SS. Both HDS GEN 3 units are running the 18.2 and I have not had any issues. I was very careful when when I updated the units to 18.2 and updated them via update files on SD card. I also updated the units one at a time.

I had some issues running 18.2. My 2D kept freezing. I had to go back to 7.0. However, my fishing partner is running 18.2 with no issues.
Not sure why that all is.

I just upgraded my units but last month, I was running my Gen 3s with Structure 3D and the 18.2 update. No problems at all.

I updated my Gen3 to 18.2 before I ever used it and it works great for me. I only have 2D sonar at the moment.

18.2 on my gen3 and i get freezing with an LSS-1 only plugged in.

Use the module and everythings smooth.

18.2 is not working with my HDI transducer on the TM. Taking mine back to 7.0 and testing it.

I have 2 Gen3’s a 7 and a 9 I updated both of them to 18.2 using the same sd card, the 9” works great the 7 freezes up after running a few hours. I rolled them both back to 7.0 and both now work flawlessly. Lowrance customer service was
absolutely useless, they claimed that they have never heard of the issue.

Thanks for your help. I think I will install 7.0. If I have no problems I will just stick with that. I can always upgrade to 18.2 later if needed.

I rolled mine back and the freezing stopped.

I just rolled my HDS9 to 7.0 to hopefully fix the freezing issue. Now how do I stop the annoying message that says I have a new update (18.2) available.
