Place to stay near Green Pond

I will be headed to Hartwell to practice for next years All American/ Jayme Rampey benefit tournament & looking for the best, safest, and cost efficient place to stay.

I’m here now for the BASS team championship. I would not recommend the Days Inn.

Many anglers stayed at the Baymont 128 Interstate Blvd, Anderson, SC 29621. Pretty close to everything and boat friendly.

Nothing worth a flip close to the lake, best bet would be off Clemson Blvd. Exit 19 A/B

Thanks guys. I am saying it is going to be almost impossible to beat Jayme or, the other several locals, that qualified.

Got ya, thought something happened when I saw benefit. Yep, he's tough on that pond but can be beat. they have some good sticks on that lake.

I fished the All American a couple years ago when he finished 2nd. Also looking for decent ramps to use besides Green Pond. Assume spawn will be long gone by the end of April, first of May?

Gum Branch on the Ga. side is a better setup than Green Pond. It's a few miles down lake about a 5 minute or so ride to Andersonville Island.
The herring spawn should be on big time around then. But you will catch 5 stripers for every bass. Bass spawn will be over.

Daynite inn in Hartwell is a great place to stay and boat friendly especially if you stay on one of the end rooms you won’t even have to unhook

Check VRBO. We rented a house for a week for the Bassmaster team championship. The price was great and the house was located 0.1 miles from Jarrett access ramp. We had a short 7 minute run to greenpond. I highly recommend the property we stayed at!

VRBO and AirBNB have places around there that are much better than a hotel and reasonably priced.

You didn't like the Meth lab inn? There was a lot of late night stuff going on. Nobody missed with anything but just some shady stuff going on. Lol. I'm talking about Days inn.

Here is a secret hideaway it is a fish camp that has rooms and boater friendly. On the Tugaloo river at marker T10. Close to Andersonville islands on their back side. Good restaurant for breakfast and a lunch quick tow to Green Pond also nice folks.

Airbnb is the only way to go. Was there for the regional and the Team championship staying in 2 different places that were awesome. Let me know if you want specifics.
