Will my old 360 work on a new Helix 12 Chirp Mega DI+ G3N I have 2 Helix 10 Chrip SI GPS G2N and a Helix 9. I will be buying a Helix 12 Chirp Mega DI+ G3N to use with a Mega 360 but can't really afford both units at the same time. I am going to buy a CHO unit from Brian as I have a Mega DI ducer in my new Ulterra. This will give me a Garmin 1024 on the bow for Livescope and a Helix 12" for 360 and DI/SI The third unit on the bow is a Helix 9 that my fishing pardner uses with charts for crappie trolling. I will replace it with one of the Helix 10s and probably sell it as I don't think it will fit in the console where a Garmin 93SV Plus is. That unit is a waste as it will not network with the 1024 so I cant have Livescope back there on it. I do also have another Helix 10 by the console that I use with the SI ducer on the transom. That unit will get replaced this next year with a Helix 10 Mega SI+.
This all leads to another question. since I am having to swap 2 out of the 3 helix out for Mega units should I switch to Solix? Is the added cost worth it? Both units are 1280 X 800 Res so I don't expect the Solix picture to be any sharper unless it has a higher refresh rate. They never mention refresh rates.
