The MEGA frequency creates the sharpest images for SI and DI.

Yes, software updates are cumulative, you can't miss any by installing the current one.
You are about 2 1/2 years behind.

yeah i know.i have never updated but one time.it scares me scared i will mess it up and have to send it back to be fixed.it says to set back to factory specs before updating.will i loose my waypoints by doing that?thanks

You loose nothing but any settings you have changed from the factory set ones.

Just in case, export your waypoint library to a blank formatted memory card of 32 GB or less.

Even if you don't do the Restore Defaults, the software will do it anyway, it's built-in for those that don't read and follow the instructions.
