    Battery Tender wiring

Bought this connector to replace conventional plug/socket. I have 24 v TM and 3 wires going to old receptacle (white, black, and red).

What wires go to + and - on Tender? There are only 2 wire connections, not 3 like the old receptacle

    Thanks, Mike

The 3 wire was used for the older 12/24V trolling motors. Two different ways to tell. Easiest is to go to the batteries and disconnect the positive that is on the battery that supplies ground (black wire) to the front. I should be either orange or red. Then at the front, you'll use the black and the color you left connected. Other way is using a voltmeter. using the common ground, check the voltage on the two wires. One will be 12V and the other 24V. Connect the 24V positive to the battery tender. Go to the batteries and disconnect the one you left disconnected at the front.
