    NMEA 2000 Question.

I bought a boat, 2012 Legend w/ 225 Mercury Pro XS, that the owner had Lowrance units on. I put my birds on Helix Mega SI G2N 10’s. The boat has Mercury Smart craft gauges on it. I found the splitter where the NMEA cable goes to the gauges and there are several open ports on the splitter. My question is can I buy a NMEA cable to come off the splitter to connect to my birds or is there something else I need? Would like to be able to have engine data on my units.

Yes, you need to connect a network cable to a Humminbird black box AS ETH NMEA2K, then a Ethernet cable to connect it to an AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch that your Humminbird displays are connected to.
