Helix 12 g2n menu selection delay

Just installed a new Helix 12 g2n SI Mega Chirp unit. This replaced a Helix 9 SI at my console. I am experiencing a long delay (up to 3-4 seconds) in moving between or selecting menu functions. Any ideas on the issue? I used the same power cable because it appears they are the same replacement cable for both units on the Hummingbird product site.

Direct tie into console circuit board which is fed by 12g wiring from fusebox (5amp fuse for the electronics). Not sure what gauge wiring runs from the fusebox to the 12v batteries but it is all stock wiring from Ranger factory (2009 Ranger Multi Species). I added a second 12v battery in parallel a couple years ago to support maintaining power during extreme cold weather fishing. Same setup ran my H-9 fine. Overall length to battery is 6-7ft.

Turn on the data readout boxes and choose one of them to display voltage.

Does it show that voltage when the menu lag is occurring?

I didn’t check that yesterday out on the water, but it is rolling just fine as I sit here in my garage. Outside temp yesterday was 30-36F for the 6 hours we were out. Had the issue right from the start. I will check Vs on the water next time out. Might just be a cold weather issue.

A bad or failing connection can cause a voltage issue and usually starts off being intermittent.
