    Lowering Bull's Lake Levels

COE has been opening most flood gates recently in an attempt to get the lake level down on Bull Shoals lake. Currently up 13 ft over new norm (659'), 18 ft over the old norm (654').

I think the White River chain will still be at full pool when the spring rains hit, looking forward to more flooding. Flood control has become a lost art at the Corps.

I think what we're experiencing now is, unfortunately, the "new normal". Makes fishing tough with the fluctuating lake Levels. Up a few days, then down one. But mostly up, keeping both fish and anglers confused. When it comes to trout fishing the river, forget it if you like to wade and fish. Only river boaters will be able to trout fish.
