Tried a pile of scissors. I find myself reaching for my Boomerang cutters more than scissors now.

Watch Smallmouth Crushes latest video on YouTube. Gerber scissors. They look great. I borrowed a pair of Klein Kevlar cutting snips from work. They work good.

Here's what I use, they are pretty awesome. Key with any braid cutter is serration, so it can hold the line while cutting it. I'm going to get a pair of the Gerber for sure, I'm always trying to find a better braid cutter.

I've had a BUNCH that were good at first, but they all eventually stop working. The Cudas are the only ones I've tried (keep in mind that I don't tend to buy expensive options) that work and keep working over time. The only issue I have with them is that they're bouncy. I've lost quite a few pairs by dropping them onto the deck after retying only to see them bounce up and over the gunnel. For less than $5 (often under $3 if you find them on sale), it's a no brainer.

Boomerang for me too, easy to carry around and cut every time. Yes it get dulled overtime, but mostly from me cutting other lines than braid. To help this, only use Boomerang for braid or designated area to cut braid and others.

Yes JJ! Braid only usage def helps! Was a big fan of Boomerang but then disappointed in how quickly they dulled...had good luck with Diawa braid cutters last season...but always looking for better/cheaper...thanks for the input on the Cudas...will pick up a pair prior to next season's start.

Best all around line cutters that I've ever used. And, only $3.49.

Tried all the above and more! The Cuba’s are priced right but ....... the Gerbers by far have been the best. I went through 3 of the boomerangs when they first came out a few years back......literally used them until they wouldn’t cut braid anymore. Besides Gerber will replace theirs if they ever quit cutting or dull. I Haven’t had to send mine back

I must've got a lemon when I bought mine. I grabbed some at the advice of someone on this board that had to have been you and mine never did cut braid worth a darn short of just shredding it until you could rip it apart. They do cut mono and fluoro well though.

Come to think of it, aren't you a never-braider!? Izorline on everything?! I should've known better!!

Boomerang. All you need to cut any line.
I do have a pair of Titanium Tim Holtz craft scissors I bought at Hobby Lobby @ 50% off. They’ve been excellent, and don’t rust.
