    GHOST on PHOENIX

have any of you guys mounted a Ghost TM yet? I have not screwed down my petal yet, the Ghost has 3 screws instead of 4 and the back screw is dead center of the drain, there is enough room slide of back or froward and catch, just wondered if anyone else had went one way of the other. I thing I will make a plate to go across the drain, it can still drain under

I know my minnkota has a screw hole that is right on the edge of the drain lip so the pedal covers the drain

I like how flat it sits but I may take some 1,4 starboard and cut a plate the shape of the bottom of the petal

I know that when my single rear foot pedal screw stripped out of the hole and I was running in rough water the pedal would pop up and I’m sure eventually it would wear out the front screws. So I would suggest keeping all screws in the pedal. It would pop up like 4” probably on each wave. Doesn’t take long for things to really loosen up if it’s not fully secure that is for sure.

So are you going to mount the starboard down and screw the pedal to that? I have one on it's way and will have a similar issue I guess. Keep us posted on what Tim says.

I’m sure you have had plenty of experience with the spot lock on buddies ultrexes by now but that ghost is gonna change your life. I know you had a motor guide before. Hopefully it’s a trouble free motor for you as well. I know a lot of the pros that were using them said it was extremely powerful but still had some work needed to be done on it a few months back when I spoke to them in person.

I'm really looking forward to to it, I'm sure it's going to change the way I fish because I pass up a lot of good fishing spots when the wind blows, hopefully now I can lock in and concentrate on fishing
so far I really like how it's built and difently love the features

I found some spare metal around the house and made me a leg from the screw over to the side of the drain to screw down. works great

Just for the screw in the back? So he has the front screws in directly to the boat. And the rear screw into this "spacer", and the "spacer" screwed down by a couple of screws? Not sure I follow you.

    Great. That's my plan then.
    Thanks.

Any other stumbling blocks when installing the Ghost?

I made a plate out of a cutting board. A red cutting board to accent my boat colors. I am pleased with it.IMG_20200102_150248.jpgIMG_20200102_151151.jpgIMG_20200102_152223.jpgIMG_20200102_164536.jpgIMG_20200103_162351.jpgIMG_20200103_163541.jpg
