2 in 1 Transducer Mounting Question

Got a new boat a month ago and I want to reuse my 2-1 SI/DI transducer from my previous boat that is basically brand new. I want to connect to the HDS 12 Carbon in the console. I bought the RMP transducer mounting bracket that mounts to the jackplate and I really like how it fits on the port side of the jackplate. I see most guys who mount to the jackplate use the starboard side and while the bracket may be designed for that, it looks like it will work on either side. This will only be for SI/DI at no wake speeds............I have a through hull TD for depth at speed.

I have a 8" manual slidemaster plate and would like to use one of the existing tapped holes. I've checked clearance with the motor and there is no issue there.

    Here's what I'm thinking.......think it will work?

That’s exactly the way I have my 3in1 mounted with exception I have a self made aluminum mount but the install is identical and it works fine.
