    2020 C vs L

I know the basic package differences but are the carpets and seats the same? Anything else like this different

That's a good question. The early Z520C used to be 20' 9" but is sporting a few more inches per the 2020 spec sheet. To my knowledge the C has a slightly shallower top deck configuration and should be a couple inches shorter OAL but have not seen one up close to validate.

Best thing to do is ask your dealer. Steve at Knox Marine, just to name one Ohio dealer, always knows these answers and will give you the straight skinny. Carpet is definitely not different. I have seen a few 2020 boats but have not asked whether the seats are different on C and L. Again, if you go to a dealer with both on hand, what matters most is how the seats feel to you. For instance, a more padded seat might feel great to one guy and awkward to another.

Length is only different because it’s measured different - includes the rub rail now! I see no diff between 19 vs 20. I have the 2020. Seats in the L definitely better in my opinion and the L seems a bit deeper with better styling in my opinion ....

The carpet is probably the same but the seats are different.....better IMO. I opted for the traction pad flooring in the cockpit area.......I highly recommend it!

I bought a 2019 520C and I hear people say the L boats are drier, but I don't believe they ride any differently. I'm very pleased with my C boat. I'm sure others who have owned both will chime in with the ride differences.

I've been in really rough water in my 518C and I've never gotten wet.

My local dealer says the C hull handles much better than the L and strongly recommends the C. He says the L tends to chine walk a lot more and not handle as well in turns. He has both models in the showroom or will order either so I don’t think he has a reason to push one over the other.
Can anyone comment on the handling of the C vs L? Thanks.

My 18 Z521L 250 ProXs 4S will not chine walk no matter how poorly I drive it. I would expect a C boat may be a bit faster and may chine a bit above 70mph. The L is a bit heavier in the bow which makes it a mile or two slower than the C boat. I only took a short test drive with a C boat and did not see any handling difference between the two. My boat doesn't have poles whereas the C did.

My boat will not chine walk at all. It is the first boat I have owned that doesnt chine walk running close to 70mph. It just sits there.

My 2019 520c is a handful over 70 especially with a light load.
I really wish it had came with a shower cap or shampoo. It does spray a good bit. But I am happy with it overall

I ran 520C boats before the Ls were introduced. There's no difference in length. The rap about the C boat being faster came from L boats rigged with Merc 250 2 strokes (2018) the year the L was introduced ,reason was the detuning of the engine. The guys running Shos and Etecs on L boats ran 72-74 loaded. My 2018 L with the Merc 2 stroke was a dog. The 2019L I just sold ran a constant 72.5 tourny loaded. The seats are wider and more comfortable than the C seats. The floorboard in the L boat sets deeper in the hull improving the ride. Ranger tweaked the corners of the L boat transom to improve cornering; the boat will turn on a dime. I use a 16" graph at the console which is much easier with the L console. All the compartments in the L boat are gel coat. In my opinion, the L boat is definitely a grade above C. Either way,a 520 Ranger is the best fishing platform available.
