Would you trade in Hpdi to SHO

Both 250hp, its it worth the trade, or just keep the HPDI? HPDI has less than 100 hours, no problems. The dealer offered me a tempting offer.

Brand new 2020. I know i will not get alot more money for the boat with the upgraded motor, but it is a ranger z21 intracoastal which is heavy. Hoping the hole shot will be much improved. Just trying to get peoples opinion about the upgrade. Thanks

Did this. Only regret was not doing it sooner. The SHO will pay for itself eventually with the oil and fuel savings. In my case, about 7 years, based on my average annual usage. In the meantime, you’re running faster, quieter, and cleaner. It’s a slam dunk IMO.

I would do it. I just replaced my 250 HPDI and could’t be happier.

If the hpdi is still in warranty I would keep it. If out of warranty and only 100 hours keep it until it blows or it gets older. Save up the money and then sell or trade the hpdi. I'm also not sure the oil and fuel savings will pay for the cost of the new motor.

Just traded in the hpdi, i think i came out ok. 6 year warranty really kinda sealed the deal, my motor was a 2007 model.

I was going to try to sell the HPDI, but i didnt want to hassle of people backing out of deals and if it would have a problem within 6 months or so. Dealer gave me 6500.00 for it, but charged me a ebay price for the 2020 SHO.

I have thought about selling mine, but have to admit she runs sweet, so just gonna stick with it a few more years I think.
