    Don dipstick

Don since I have a factory Mercury vented cowling cover and was mentioning to a fishing cohort it was a minor issue checking oil level cause sometimes the cover comes off when removing the cowling and the Mercury cover is super tight and a pain to get back on in a hurry he said Mercury makes an electronic dipstick that shows oil level on Smartcraft. have you ever heard of this ? Just curious.

I am very curious to learn about this. Checking oil level is a pain in my 150 HP.

They offer an oil level sensor that can be installed. I wouldn't say this is a replacement for actually checking the oil but it does display on the SC.

Specifically for the V6 and V8 Fourstroke: Yes.

Have not seen anything for the 150, however.
