Get two 16 inch screens and you will never lose another tournament.

I run a single 12 inch hds carbon and I like it. I would go for one 16 inch if you have the room.

I have the big hummingbird solix on my PHX21. Love it up front by the trolling motor, but wish it was two 12 inchers at the console. It’s honestly a bit tough to see over and I would have more room for side imagining.

I think the amperage draw is less with 1 16" than 2-12"??

I run 1 16" carbon and I have no complaints. The only thing I would like better with 2 12" units would be the redundacy if one goes out.

I would say if you know your lake or lakes very well and don’t side scan much the get a single 16. If you graph a lot and like to run side scan atleast 50% of the time get 2 12s.

I'd just wait till the 20's or even better the 24's to come out, don't want to be that guy stuck with old tech.

I’ve used both 2 12s and a 15. Set up a custom screen with two small boxes on top and one large box on the bottom that spans the length of the screen. You will have more room on a 15 than with 2 12s that way. Only way to have more screen for SI with 2 12s is to have one unit looking left and the 2nd unit looking right.

You’ll have better resolution with a Lowrance 16 than you will with a 12. IIRC I’m thinking I’ll go with a refurbished Lowrance 16 with a year of warranty for less than $2K and then a 12” live on the bow.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

If you really know how to fish all you need is a flasher so you can see how the bottom is changing.

Maybe, sure is a lot easier seeing that brush pile 50’ away with side imaging though.
