    Washington state

Moving to Washington in a few months. what does is cost to register boat there? Trailer, outboard? I can find cars but the site for boats keeps wanting a registration number, which I obviously do not have yet.

In my opinion, we have great fishing here in Washington state. I've lived here for the last 37 years. Salmon fishing isn't what it use to be. Still can do well, it's just the rivers have gotten so crowded as to where I just don't do it anymore. I pretty much stick to the bass fishing.
Registering your boat and trailer is pretty cheap too. I pay about $100.00 a year for both my boat and trailer. 2000 191 Champion.

You are going to like it here. I retired out of Ft. Lewis (now JBLM) and although working in California at the moment I plan to return soon. Lots of lakes, good tournaments, and every style of bass fishing you can imagine.

Don't underestimate the largemouth fishing up here! May not see many 10+, but we have loads of 4 to 8's to be had! Enough lake variety to suit any tackle/technique tastes as well. Good luck, welcome and thank you for your service!

8theB8 - all states can’t be like Texas and Florida!! I ain’t worried about size....although it is nice. Learning a new techniques. Going for species I don’t normally get to will be nice....catching smallies on the regular is gonna be sweet. Thank you, it’s an honor to serve.

Thanks Rodney_H looking forward to fishing there.

You can fish for bass out by the Pacific Ocean, in downtown Seattle, up in the Cascade Mountains, over in the desert-like Central WA area and up north or down south in farm land. You will not run out of options here! You will enjoy exploring all of it

Our fish fight harder than CA, TX, and FL fish. It's really odd, but they're short and built like tanks. You'll not want to leave for sure once you're here.

I am not 100% sure but I think you get a break on boat registration if you are active duty military. 5 yrs ago I bought my Skeeter from a Master Sgt stationed at Fort Lewis, the boat was registered in Oklahoma, it had a sticker on the mtr cowling. Check that out. Good Luck
