    Lithium batteries

I’m putting lithium batteries in my boat and was wondering if those of you that have already done this could tell me how much top end speed you picked up. I will be eliminating 110 lbs from my boat and expecting to gain around 2 or 3 mph. Is this a reasonable expectation? Thanks in advance for your responses

Changed out 3 trolling motor batteries for 3 Relions I also was able to take out the charger. Lost about the same as you will and picked up about 2 mph. The hole shot was crazy and handling improved also Imo. Good luck.

Changed to lithiums on mine, 4 batteries total as above gained 3mph, holeshot and handling improved. I was very happy with it. Got relions from a board vendor.

You can always try putting 110 lbs on the back of your boat and see how much speed you loose. That would be a good approximate, imo.

Going to run mine today with all three batteries changed to lithium, 2 12 foot talons removed, and a change from fortrex to ultrex on the bow. Should be interesting.
