If the 12 is the same as the 10, it is going to have that same mystery SI transducer XP 9 H1012 HW MSI T AND have HW CHIRP as default for 2D sonar.

Should have guessed that there would be a new Helix 12 MEGA SI GPS G2N available just by the transducer model name.

That is a very nice unit for a good price. I walked around BPS for a long time Friday morning trying to talk myself out of buying one of the 3 they had left. I didn’t give in. Should have known they would double cross me. How an I supposed to fight this?

Wayne what do you think hummingbird has done here with these 10 and 12 units? What can these 10 and 12 units do that the original g2n units couldn't do? Is hummingbird trying to add a different price point that is lower than the g3n unit? what now are the differences between the "new" g2n unit and a g3n unit? I know the g3n is required for 360 mega but other than that what if any are the differences? thanks

My guess are these are special run units for the sales this time of year. They have made them with standard Dual Spectrum HW CHIRP 2D sonar like the G3N's have with a new transducer to match. Note the transducer model name XM 9 H1012 HW MSI T.
They are not MEGA SI+ units so they probably may not support the MEGA 360----guessing.

The prices are what would be close-out sales of the G2N last year.

XM 9 H1012 HW MSI G2N.
