I'm figuring its basically the same thing, but I do this already on spots I deem worthy of the effort, ie, spending the time to make the recordings, (Dropping way points as I go) which I then name and save on an SD card. When I'm on that particular lake again where I have that recording, I just overlay it on my map and voilą, I'm seeing the structure, the cover etc.
Time consuming perhaps, though I usually do it on nice days during the winter and while not as handy as having a robotic kayak to do it for me, it gets the job done. During the season I'll also idle the lake with my structure scan on and when I see something interesting, I'll make a recording. Not all of the lake has the structure/cover that holds fish so my approach is more of a pin point type deal but it works.
Question - Is this all basically what your HD maps are, only in a pre-done lake wide package?? (And I can see how this would be handy)
As for Aimy (?), our lakes, even on weekdays are extremely crowded. I'm not sure I'd want to leave that thing roaming around on it's own. I might not get it back and it looks like it could be an expensive deal!
No one can be wrong that often so it has to be deliberate.
Yes, exactly right.
As you can imagine there is quite a bit more to it than what meets the eye in order to make it a true HD Mosaic, but oh so worth it.
Many local anglers said they cannot ever see the need for it, now, when they get to a lake that doesn't have the UltraHF Mosaic they feel completely lost.
Nice job John. My mosaics sell well but I only have one lake and none of your high tech equipment. I just steer straight........
And I won't be doing anymore. Good luck on your adventure.

Thank you Doc.
I'm not sure if you ever watch my FishTec Live streams on Facebook (every 2nd Tuesday of the month 7-8pm CAT), but I mention you often there. I give you credit for opening my eyes to the wonderful world of high tech fishing all those years ago.
I don't blame you for giving up on mosaics, it is humanly impossible to steer perfectly pass after pass 12 hours a day.
I still hope we could work together on this someday on Lakes in your area.
Very impressive product. You should start your US mapping in Central Florida. Butler Chain. Harris Chain. Kissimmee Chain. The check will be in the mail once you do!

Nope, I've got nothing to sell at this point.
As soon as I have a few charts for the USA I will advertise them here and pay for ad space.
Unless you want to buy some South African charts now?
And the difference is?
Yeah... you know like the Lowrance paid sponsors had nothing to sell while promoting the Ghost. Or the Garmin Force paid sponsors or the MotorGuide paid sponsors - having nothing to sell while promoting the upcoming product... Is that what you're talking about when you say you're not selling at this time???
If I was a paid up sponsor I'd be P.O.'d that much I do know!
First testing of AIMy
This is what the Mosaic charts looked like back when I used to have to drive them out myself ... AIMy has changed that forever.
Fast forward to 1min45s
Knowing exactly what you are fishing makes a world of difference, especially in big tournaments ...
No vegetation in your lakes, it seems?
