What prop and set up do you have? I just bought a new 2019 TRX 21 with the same motor.

I just repowered my 2005 TR-21X with a new 4 stroke 250 and the dealer that installed the motor said he ran it up to 80 mph on his initial test run, and he said he was not at the top end just yet. I'm still in the break in mode but I have ran it up to 75 but no further, for a short burst. I'm not convinced that it will do 80 but that's what the dealer said he got it up to. I have no desire to run 80 mph. If I can run 60 and be comfortable, (no chine), then I'm happy!

I'm turning a 26 Tempest + and when he ran it there was about 1/4 tank of fuel and no water in the live wells. I do not know if he had anyone in the boat with him but I was by myself when I hit 75 with it. But the boat has a very full load of rods and tackle, etc. Oh, and I have two power poles on the boat.

My guess to the OP should be Mid 70's with that rig-just got to get the motor height set correctly.

    Here are my previous Tritons
My 2005 TR 21 Dual Console GPS'd at 81.3 with a 250 HPDI and tourney load with only me in it. Had the prop reworked was only thing done to that one.
MY 2001 TR 21 DC GPS'd at 77.5 with a 225 Mercury EFI and 2 people and tourney load-had the plate set just right on that rig .
    My 1999 TR 21 DC GPS'd 74.7 with a 225 Optimax and 2 people and tourney load.
My 2017 TR 22 TRX DC GPS's at 69 with a 250 ProXS and 2 people and a tourney load-still working on getting the jack plate set on this one as it's only getting 5650 rpm's w good H2O pressure yet.

You should run mid 70's without any problem.
