300 HPDI fuel problem i think

have a 2008 300 hpdi it had set for a few months i started up just fine parked the truck got in it and made a 2 mile run no problems until i came off plane it died the only way i can get it to start is to trim it all the way up and turn it over and over it will finally start i have to keep it revved up or it will die but got it back on plain made the 2 mile run back run fine on plain but same thing just dies when i shut down when on the trailer it fired up and ran fine on the hose for about three or four min then would drop from 7 to 8 hundred rpm to around 400 and die then have to do the trim it all the way up thing i drained the tanks and put new plugs in it could it be the low pressure fuel pumps maybe

update i read that you should change the lp pumps every three to four years mine are factory so i pulled them off and did the leak test with the primer bulb and had no leaks but i will still replace them but i noticed the wire broke off and laying in the bottom of the cowing not sure if it would cause my problem or not here is a pic its the wire that goes this filter s-l1600.jpg

Can you pump the bulb and keep it running? That is effectively what the LP pumps are doing to keep the vst tank full.

light oil on the O-ring for the filter in the picture. Sometimes it doesn't seal and will draw air

Every now and then mine will not start unless i tilt it up like yours, ive been told it could be the tuner , mine also runs good on a hose. Maybe yammy 911 will chime in.

I'm pretty sure I found the problem on the filter in my picture the wire that goes up inside from the bottom fell out I didn't think anything about it because it has been unplugged for years because it would always trip the alarm for water in the fuel today I was thinking maybe it is sucking air so I stuck my air hose in it and held the other side closed and sure enough it shot air out from the place the wire was so I will know for sure Saturday but I'm pretty sure that is my problem

My tps voltage looks good but plugs are black and wet and is still flooding I pulled all injectors and are ultrasonic cleaning them but I find it hard to believe all six have trash is there anything anyone thinks I should look at before I put the cleaned injectors back in next week
