I was going to get a new Snark but reading the reviews many talked about the plastic clip on piece breaking . I like something to clip on to the tuner head. Your suggestons?

Even with the reviews, I would still go with the snark. You never know how the broken ones were treated, operator error and everyone says its the companys fault.
Better yet spend another 70 and get a boss stomp box.
LOL. I play 70% acoustic and mostly play at home so my wife would prefer no new stomp box.

So far i've got a snark i've had for several years & switched back & forth between being clamped on tuning heads of a dreadnought & banjo both & no problems whatsoever.
I've had a Snark for a year now with no issues. I leave it on the head stock of the acoustic most of the time.
This is the tuner I use. I've owned snarks and just like this one better. It's also very cheap. I have on on all my guitars now and haven't had a problem with any of them.

d'addio clip on if not pedal
I have some of the TC Polytunes and like them. I'm pretty new to guitar ( 5 year player or so ) so others more experienced may have better input.

The TC polytunes are replacing the gold standard Boss pedal tuner in most of the rigs I'm seeing on stages these days. The techs are all using Peterson Strobe Tuners, but those TC pedals are everywhere. I might give their clip on a hard look if I was you...
I would recommend buying a high in guitar like I did. It came tuned from the factory.
